I'm partially through my Nazareth collection of LPs and and am loving every minute of it. It could be that they were my first concert or that I got gonged in an HS gong show once someone realized what the lyrics of "hair of the dog" actually said, don't know, but they define heavy metal for me.
There's also a very lyrical guitar element to their songs, mainly toward the end, when Manny Charlton goes off, and I don't think there's a better bluesy rock voice than Dan MacCaffertey(sp?) I'm thoroughly enjoying this listening session and encourage others to explore the band.
