Title: BP-26 and HiFiMAN HE400i
Post by: alanford69 on 10 Jan 2017, 04:35 pm
Hello anybody had a chance to listen the HiFiMAN HE400i connected to the headphone out of a BP-26? If yes could you please share your impressions? I am willing to buy those headphones but they have a nominal impedance of 35 Ohm while the BP-26 manual recommends >50 ohms for optimal performance.

I would like to understand if this means the headphone will sound awfully or if they will sound good enough to postpone purchasing a dedicated head amp for some time.

Thanks!

Usually I use my HE400 original version with the PC sound board but a regular CD player w/volume control also will work fine.
