Bad picture, but one of the best speakers I've ever owned- Sequerra MET 2 + 2W with T-1 tweeter.

close-up of the wintage stromberg-carlson sr443 presently in use - killer sound; w/a good mpx decoder, it's as good as anything i have heard:

strong signal and/or good antenna required for use w/this insensitive tuna, tho...

The Flame Linear in Champagne Gold with the joy stick is pretty cool looking (no cat's eye tuning indicators, though).

Might as well get the matching amp.

Utterly IMPOSSIBLE for anything to be less than stellar when you assign "Champagne Gold" to its description!!

The start of it all
:smoke:

that looks like an sx-737, which would put its wintage ~1974.  my first "real" stereo was a slightly older sx-828, which i purchased new in 1969.  it got daily use for ~15 years  it's no longer in my possession; it got sold to the then-local used hi-fi equipment specialists.  still, these are nice finds, when in good shape:

Shit man that is a long time ago. That would be a Pioneer 737 around 73 or 74 and I also got a pair of Pioneer R500 speakers. :thumb:

Warning: Nudies

You've got to be pretty determined to replace the rocker switch on this sucker.
Sorry for my greasy fingerprint smudges in the pics.

I had one of the second...Sansui TU-719  Best ever sounding tuner I've owned but the analog dial is what did it in for me.     I have a decent enough tuner with programmable inputs, but it doesn't sound like that one.

I had one of these for a number of years.  Replacing the 6U8 with 7687 improved the sound of the line stage considerably.  The tuning eye is really cool as well.

i had one of each of those as well.  (i still own 3 sansui's - a stock tu717, a refurb'd modded tu-x1 and a mint almost nos rare fm-8 tubed mono w/mpx out.)  the sansui's sound fantastic - as did the tu719.  the mac was one of the most mediocre sounding tunas i have ever had in my system.  almost as bad as the refurb'd mr77 i also was happy to sell!

Polyester shirt and all, I'd still buy an amp from that guy.
I'll take a pair of the 275s to go, please.
