Actually, IMHO Vinnie would be the crazy one to allow DIY into LIO. Most of us DIYers would be cool and understand we are voiding the warranty. But you know there is always 'that guy' who after short circuiting the power buss and vaporizing the traces off the main board would demand zero cost warranty coverage.

All,

I'm glad alamakazam brings up this topic:

Norman has a good point - it would definitely VOID the 10-year warranty and could potentially be dangerous.  :nono:

While we designed the LIO to be easy for customers to add in and change modules (and we specify in multiple locations in the
owner's manual that your LIO should be OFF and unplugged for the external power adapter when doing so!  :!:), we did not design
it to be a kit or platform for the DIY community.  There are just too many things that could go wrong in there if you do not have a very
good understanding of the entire system.

For safety's sake and so you do not void your warranty (which would be an expensive mistake!) - do NOT make any unauthorized changes, modifications, etc.  :rules:

Thank you,

Vinnie
