I began looking for a couple of subwoofers for one of my 2-channel systems late last November and spent about a month researching the various offerings. I eventually narrowed my search down to SV Sound, Definitive Technology, Rythmik Audio, and Elemental Designs. I ended up purchasing two A5s-300 subs from Elemental Designs. I had owned a couple of Rythmik subs in the past and I had heard the cylinder SVS subs at a demo, but made my final decision based on internet reviews and forum input. I am convinced I made the right choice. These things are great! Tight clean bass with plenty of output and Elemental Designs customer service is excellent. Bass output quality is just as good as the Rythmik subs, but with MUCH better output and at a lower price. You can check out their products at
