What are the dimensions, do you know?  They look a lot more slender than I was envisioning.

The tweeters look familiar: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-085

They are 6 5/8" tall, so 13 of them would be ... uh... (darn imperial system) 78 and 65/8" tall.  Say 86" plus the base.

Yep, thats the ribbons (planers)....

Just found out they are the same ribbons used in the Sunfire speakers......designed by Bob Carver, guess that why he used them

I have a set of arrays designed by Rick Craig that uses them as well....quite nice.

Those Soulsonics are works of art.
I wish that I had gone to CarverFest to hear Bob's new speakers - did anyone here go and give them a listen?

I did heard them many times, because Miro Krajnc (owner of Soulsonic) lives some 50km from me.
They beat my 20.1 in low and middle  dynamics by far also the bass slam is more then awesome.
I think that they can close the gap between planars and dynamic speakers more then good and show the best from both designs.
The ribbon is a true dipol ranging from about 500 or 800Hz(optional) to heaven, suspended between two nearly 6 feet long magnets and opened in both ways. It flows in the air, nothing between you and the music..

Bob Carver LLC also is developing some high-end audiophile-grade loud speakers.

The first is a line-source speaker (about $18,000) featuring a floor-to-ceiling array, which “creates a huge soundstage,” Farinelli says. “When you close your eyes, you swear you’re not listening to two speakers – one on the left and one on the right.”

Well, at that price... it would be worth asking what the response plots look like.

Very clever design! But what else would one expect from Bob Carver. Should have amazing imaging and, if it was done right, great power response, as well as an immense line source/omni soundstage. On the other hand, it will presumably require more room treatment than a line source dipole (though less than an omni). And it does have an enclosure, so we'll have to see how well the resonances are controlled.
