Seems whenever I kick off a long session with jazz, I eventually gravitate to the blues.
Hey, it's all good.

Little Buster and the Soul Brothers - Right On Time! - Mid-90's blues with rhythm. Nice mix of voice, guitar, horns, and B3. Groovy stuff.  8)

OK, so perhaps this is more Soul than Blues, but there are at least a few Blues tracks on here. And Soul is just one step from the Blues, so ... here you go.

Christmas Blues on Spotify.
If you're interested, click on genres and moods, Happy Holidays, Christmas Blues. A lot better than the usual Christmas fare. Enjoy.

Saw her a few weeks ago. Her "Way Past Mid-nite" tour. She can still sing. If there had of been crystal in the room, she'd have broken it.

Buddy Guy - Rhythm & Blues, double CD, one scewed towards rhythm and the other towards blues.
WARNING!!! THIS CD IS SO DAMNED COMPRESSED IT WILL HURT YOU!!! SICKENINGLY COMPRESSED!!! DO YOU HEAR ME???!!!
Also, not really blues blues, but more bluesy type rock. Which ain't a bad thing, at least not for me.
But I cannot play this anywhere near a satisfying SPL without causing pain. Low volume only, which really sucks because Buddy plays very well on this.

All- "Born Under a Bad Sign" is a bad-to-the-mother-jumpin-bone monster of a tune!  Thanks, Danny.  I have Buddy Guy's album Damn Right, I've Got The Blues (Silvertone Records) and his instrumental track "Remeberin Stevie" is a SOTA nutha mutha.  Seriously not to be missed if you like blues.
