Virtue Audio Sensation M901 making noise...
« on: 14 Feb 2017, 02:32 am »
After 3 years of impeccable services rendered my Sensation M901 is making an extremely faint rhythmic click and then squeak sound at one second intervals from deep inside the unit, not over the speaker system. Doesn't do it when the unit is off, meaning power is on via the switch in the back while front button on "off".  Any thoughts?  Where's Seth Krinsky these days?

Hey!

That sound is probably the main capacitor ticking due to the loss of a grounding capacitor.

It's harmless if you can live with it.

I've gave a unit with that defect to a friend - he loves it.
