I'm sorry if I'm starting a topic about a frequently asked question, but I can't find an answer in the BDP-2 MM Manual.
Which of the uploaded screenshots should be the proper / expected one to show up at Dashboard > Audio Devices window?
Never did I plug another D/A before, always been the BDA-2 via AES/EBU.
My BDP-2 has two 1Tb USB external hard drives, and one 3Tb NAS hard drive.
All three drives are plugged one on top of the other, at the back of the unit. At the right of the RS232 connectors, just in case this matters.
All three drives have the same files, I do care about back-up ...

Now, the window is showing

BUC Board - and it plays.
Sometimes, the window shows
Bryston BDP USB Audio 1.0

USB Audio
- and it won't play, showing Pause at the Player display and Stop in the Browser's window.
After some rebooting, rebuilding of database and updates - it seems to have decided to stay in BUC Board mode.
Any idea on why USB Audio mode? Supposing BUC Board should be its proper Audio Device setting. I arrived to this idea after reading MM manual once more.
