Veracity ST's - variations in black dye

When we were first asked to use black aniline dye over cherry, I had my doubts.  But we have done quite a few pairs now.

Here are some pictures of the latest black over cherry speakers...

Another black dye application over zebrawood...

Black certainly works over these woods.

Jim, have you tried black dye over bamboo? Seems like it would look great.

I love my ST's with the black dye over horizontal zebrawood! the black dye is definitely a great way to go.

Very striking! I assume this is another example of a "guitar burst" effect, and the dark corners and cabinet edges are deliberate? Seconding JerryM above, black aniline dye over bamboo would be an interesting experiment....
