The next Thompsons' house concert, on April 20th, will feature internationally known blues artist Doug MacLeod. This event will be especially interesting to audiophiles because Doug is one of the few popular recording artists I know who actually understands good sound and cares about the sound quality of his recordings. Several of his previous recordings were done as XRCD's on the JVC label:

I'll make sure he has a few of the CD versions available for autograph and sale at the concert. Sorry, the vinyl won't be available by then.
The concert will be the usual format, with a gourmet dinner at seven, party time from seven to eight, and the music starting at eight, with two 45 minute sets and a 20 minute break in between. We'll be collecting $15/guest at the door, with all the proceeds going to Doug. Our house is in the Northwest Houston suburbs. I'll send driving directions to everybody who responds to the invitation.
Last time Doug played at our house I sent the invitations out on a Friday, and by Monday night we had 45+ RSVP's, which is near our capacity. Word is getting out, and we already have 25 confirmations, so
