You can also purchase the 10" and 15" OB woofers separately and build your own OB speaker using the FR or horn driver of your choice. They also sell an extensible crossover unit that allows for use of FR or horn drivers. You can also purchase the frame, but you could build one for significantly less.

Is the betsy considered a kit?

Or you can  move this to drivers if that is more appropriate.

I was also going to add Hawthorne Audio but I guess they closed, although someone may be taking over for them.

GR-Research has quite a few other high end open baffle speakers that don't appear on their website:

NX-Treme

NX-Otica
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=141654.0

NX-Otica MTM

All 3 of those pair fantastically with the GR-Research open baffle H-frame subwoofer:

Thanks Drew - just not sure which of those are currently available?

The woofers are on the Drivers thread. I might end up merging the two threads as people seem to see drivers and kits as the same thing - ?

Thanks Randy, added the driver to the driver page and the project to the designs page. (I think I need to simplify).

Unfortunately can't list Hawthorne as not currently available (too much work already!)

All of them are currently available, GR-Research isn't very good about keeping their website up to date

GR-Research also has kits and plans available for the X-Static main speakers and X-Voce center channel. Don't let the inexpensive price of these speakers fool you into thinking they must not be very good. They are and at their price are one of the best bargins out there.
