Speaker Grills

I have a pair of IB1 speakers. Am I supposed to leave the grill covers on, or do they sound better off?

How do they sound better to you? On or Off?

FWIW, I prefer my covers off.

My question was ineptly asked. Did PMC design their speakers to sound "best" with the grills on or off? I.E...are the grills intended (by PMC) to play a role in sound production in any way?

FWIW, I too leave the grills off unless "Arthur", my 3 year old buddy of the many sommersualts and accidental cartwheels in the living room is coming to visit, when then I nervously replace the grills.

The grills protect them greatly from dust in the air which can build up on tweeter. They do sound better with them off, but only so so marginally you'd never know the difference. I leave mine on.
