Custom finish LS-9, LS-C & LS-C Stand

Well,  it's been a long time coming but they are up and running.

I'd like to thank Danny for such and awesome speaker design.

I would like to thank Ruben for a work of art.  They are simply gorgeous.  Oh, and HEAVY.  His attention to every detail makes these truly beautiful speakers.

They sound absolutely amazing.  They are satin black and wrapped in charcoal leatherette.

It was all DIY.  Definitely a labor of love.

really, really nice work/place.
That's a nice man's cave or donjon.
I bet once you in there, you cannot get out easily...

Thanks guys.

The vision had been swirling around in my noodle long before we decided to move and build new.  And after several years, it is finally done.  It's the perfect family setting.  We just finished up watching the complete Battlestar Galactica series again.  First time was about two years ago.  Our son turned 14 in January.  This has opened up a larger library of movies than we had before.

Life is about making memories, because after today, that's what they are.

Awesome! Having built my own HT room (err, as much as I could) I can appreciate the amount of work that went into your room. Mine also has LS9s and an LSC with Ruben's custom stand. Have you experimented with the positioning of your LS9s?They will provide more 'depth' if they have more room behind them, particularly in stereo.

Again, what a beautiful room. :)

I was going for a rustic, worn, old-world look.  I think when I got the picks and miners helmet off eBay, the look started to lean in a miners sort of style.  I just wanted one to not "feel" like they stepped into a home theater.  I could have taken that a step further by hiding the speakers, but NO WAY!  They are works of art in and of themselves!

I know, I know... :oops: :(

They are too close to the boundaries.  The screen wall is 1.5" of Knauf Sonic XP, but yeah they should have more space to breath.

Rob, the room looks outstanding! Glad you finally have the final additions to the system.

Ruben is an artist, perfectionist and craftsman all rolled into one. I'm still in awe of my Super V's every time I look at them.

I think you picked a perfect finish for those speakers, that leather look is really sharp and those speakers are stunning to look at.

Nice work putting that room together too, I was thinking "Man Castle" when I first saw it, you should be proud!

Sheesh Rob,

I'm a speaker guy and usually comment on that kind of thing. I have owned and love the LS9 and your pair is beautiful! (nice work Ruben). But the wood work and stone in that room :o That's some off the chart really nice stuff! A work of art indeed.

lots of fun to be had in there. :D
