Sinatra ‎– Softly, As I Leave You

Hmmmm, just got a FB message that Joe's Record Express has the 16 lp MOFI of Sinatra, unplayed, for $300. I wonder if it will be there tomorrow?

Ah well, to the deck with a martini and some of the Sinatra I do have.

The Incredible Jimmy Smith ‎– Back At The Chicken Shack

Looked for this for a long time, finally found a shrink-wrapped new reissue, God I hope it sounds ok.

RD -

Some interesting Jackie McLean titles, I have a lot of his work yet only recognize 'Capuchin Swing'.

Stanley Turrentine With The Three Sounds ‎– Blue Hour

DMM version imported from France. I know lots of folks don't approve of these DMM remasters, but I enjoy them.

I think the fact I'm a huge Turrentine fan may play into this as well.

AD - A great album.

But the vinyl had surface noise. Through the RCM it will go before playing again.

A classic, hopefully pristine. Don't forget to let us know.  :thumb:

et - ever since I first heard Jackie on Mingus' "Pithecanthropus Erectus" I knew I dug this guy. Been collecting his stuff here and there ever since. I enjoy his progression through the years. He is not too crazy out there (for me), yet still always unpredictable and fresh (to me).
