Play Daft Punk 24/88.2 on Ipod ? not possible ?
« on: 1 Sep 2014, 03:27 pm »
Hello,

I've got a problem.

I've got the FLAC 24 bits/88,2 kHz version of Random access memories of Daft Punk.

When a try to convert via dBpoweramp (the only converter that i know that keep 24 bits), if i put on my ipod (6rd gen,120 Go), it play half speed (slow). Not normally.

Do you known why ?

I tried to convert via idecoder FLAC->AIFF and then AIFF->ALAC via dBpoweramp, same thing.

On the PC it works perfectly (speed normal), but on ipod, no. The only way found for normal playing is convert in 16 Bits or convert

in 24bits/44,1 kHz).

All other 24bits/96 work well in Alac on the Ipod.

I've got an other soud file 24bits/88,2 (see below), and works well too, right speed, but it is not the case for Daft punk ;-)

Please help.

Here is the comparative MediaInfo information from two files, one is the daft punk the other is 24bits/88.2 too. All seems identical. Can't find where is the clock speed setting ;-)

Seems not possible in ALAC, only AIFF possible (but too heavy) also Ipod send analog audio only. So i bought a IrDAC instead and full enjoiy 24/96, up to 24/192 now.Cost 400 € but sound better. I keep Pure+Ipod for everyday or mp3 musique
