I do! Bass is 30% of the 2 channel experience (per Toole et al.) and definitely important for HT as well. So keep it coming!

Thanks!

Best,
Anand.

Thought this looked very interesting but the Monoprice 9723 beats it pretty handily, for < 1/2 the cost.

Care to elaborate on that?  One sealed, one ported.
Best suited for music?

Thanks for sharing the group test link, however since the SVS sub wasn't part of the group test how were you able to draw this conclusion?

My examining those measurements along side the sub in question:

Price aside, the SVS SB12-NSD is a generation behind but a model above the SVS SB-1000 which your linked AVS forum comparison mentioned provides better clarity, punch, and volume than the Monoprice 9723.  Unrealistic to compare a $112 sub versus one that a few years ago retailed for $649.  Not saying the 9723 is crap because I'm a repeat Monoprice customer (for bits and pieces).

In general I find AVS and audioholics good references for low to mid-fi gear suited for newbies.  Trying to connect reviews from two different sources can be full of apples and oranges comparative problems.

I wasn’t focused on the qualitative stuff at all.  Just the measurements of each sub.

What an incredible deal !!!! :thumb: a guy just sold a used one for $270 obo
But at this price it really pays to get the warranty . I’m blown away by how much bigger (huge) ported subs are.

That's not a bad price for a good sub. I also think a pair of the Monoprice subs crossed over as low as you can could work well in a 2 channel system.
