The price of LDRs in quantity has gone up 24% in the last few months.

I feel your pain, last time I ordered the cotton cable jacket I use they had more than doubled the price. I had to order 500 ft of each size to get a reasonable price.

It's only speculation on my part but the original LDR manufacturer - Silonex - had been acquired and then that company was in turn recently acquired. Acquisitions are often paid for by raising prices.

Hey, as long as they're still selling them! Luckily the LDR isn't the expensive part!
