What do you think of "Bass Balls" for the name of a high power subwoofer amp?

better than blue balls...

kinda sounds silly IMHO, in all seriousness.  But then bottlehead names their kits after SEX, and things like that.

No.

How about:

Thunder kick.
Sunami
Platectonic
Groove Slam
Slammy 2
Whack-A-Mole
Whack-Attack
Whomp-O-Matic
Kettle-Kicker
The Mac Daddy
The Smack Daddy
The Whack Daddy

I don't like Bass Balls, either.  It immediately reminded me of this, for obvious reasons: http://www.ehx.com/products/bassballs.

In keeping with your Cherry theme, how about just "Black Cherry?"

I'd call them Spectral Mass Drivers myself.

Nice......yes maybe keep it inline with your cuurent theme. "The pit" could be another candidate in keeping with your cherry theme. A cherry has a pit and pits are low.

We can do better... Combined with the Cherry theme you'll have the FBI at your door.

"Grip"  "Gripper"

"The DAC Grip has proven to..."

Sharen suggests "The Pillar"  and asks if it looks like a pillar?

Dan suggests "The Dan"

Oscar and Ollie prefer something with a "Woof" theme, of course.

What's Rave without bass? How 'bout "Rave" - Our royalty payments will be minimal.

Is there some local theme related to the steel industry?

Animal theme? Is Rhino taken?

Glad I'm not in marketing/advertising

The Deep Cherry or Deep Cherry Sr.

(Wanted to say "Seismic Cherry", but there is an existing Seismic subwoofer driver manufacturer)

If he wants to keep with the 'Cherry' theme, why not 'Cherry Bomb'?

But yeah, 'Bass Balls' doesn't cut it....

Unless you're shaping them subs into a circular ball Tommy, I don't know why you'd label them as something they are not. If on other hand you're planning on making Bing Cherry Balls, then swing with it.

What started as a whim has become an enjoyable thread...

How about "Category 5" or even "Category 6"...  This goes with the "Our amps go to 11" theme.

I like the Cherry related ones, too.  Thanks, Mike, for getting the dogs to vote.

Jim Salk started a topic "Name the Beast/HT4", and the gallery turned that into a 21 page thread, until he cried "Enough"!
