The March, 2015 issue of The Absolute Sound is out and Audio by Van Alstine received four Editor's Choice awards!

AVA Ultravalve pure vacuum tube power amplifier  $1999  (35W/Ch)

AVA Fet Valve 600R hybrid power amplifier  $3199  (300+W/Ch)

AVA Transcendence Nine vacuum tube preamplifier $1399  (one dual triode 6CG7 tube per channel)

And our best selling preamplifier, the AVA Fet Valve CF vacuum tube preamplifier  $1899  (one dual triode 12AT7 signal tube and one dual triode 12AU7 follower tube per channel).

All four of these high value units have multiple regulated power supplies.  They all have a separate regulated power supply for each plate of each small signal tube.  Even the power mosfet output circuits of the 600R are fully regulated, each channel separately regulated.  Even the heater supplies are regulated.

Our unique engineering provides clarity and micro dynamics you would normally hear only at a live acoustic performance.  Never a satisfaction guarantee return on any of these products.

Its time for you to give one (or more) of these awesome performers a careful listen.  Don't be put off by the low prices.  :)

Each unit custom hand built to order right here in Minnesota.  Note too that we never take your money up front.  No credit cards processed until your unit is built, tested, burned in, and is ready to ship.  No excuses, no risk.  Thirty day satisfaction money back guarantee and three year parts and labor warranty.

Call us at 651-330-9871 for more help.

Kind of hard to make stuff if you can't sell it (and the other way too).

BTW, Mr. Frank has only been at it for 40 years.......

Is there a PDF of the FetValve 600R review available?  I would like to have it to show to friends who like the 400R as much as I do.

You might like to know, a professional mastering engineer came for a demo and thought the 400R must be an $8000 amp. This was paired with the JansZen zA2.1 in my basement room.

Maybe this one will do?

Quote
AVA FET Valve 600R $3299
Frank Van Alstine’s 300Wpc hybrid amp is based on AVA’s patented forward-transimpedance design. A 12AT7 triode front end is coupled to a fully complementary power MOSFET output stage. The stock JJ Electronic tubes are quite musical, so there’s no compelling reason to tube roll. No, it doesn’t sound like a tube amplifier, but what sets it apart from a host of solid-state designs is its soulful midrange and ability to retrieve music’s drama and tension. Tack on decent spatial delineation and you have the making of a successful hybrid design. It’s a complete package featuring low distortion, superior speed, killer bass, and superb dynamics. The treble is somewhat closed in, and tonally, harmonic colors are on the dark side of reality, requiring careful system matching. At its best, the 600R can sound much like a $20k power amplifier. World-class power amplification at an affordable price.
