Welcome.

Your approach is the easier audio route and certainly makes sense if you move much, have a budget, or must live in a "compromised" listening environment (shared, poorly sized/shaped/furnished/isolated room).

I can not satisfy myself with HPs the soundstage is always small and it bothers me alot, but I admire who likes, its a saving of time, money and problems.

Welcome from another headphone nerd. Yes, headphones have limitations but they are the most practical solution for many of us, for the reasons JLM succinctly gives along with a few others. If the music is good enough, I'll listen to it on almost anything, although good 'fi' does enhance the experience. What 'phones do you use?
