Zenith Vintage

Been listening to a handful of vintage Zenith drivers. Most of them come from open back consoles so they work in OB just fine. Many of these (especially the CZ series) sound amazing. Maybe it is the light paper cone and Alnico magnets? This guy got me started:

IMO, the best sounding Zeniths are the 49CZ9XX family.  The 49CZ8XX series can't handle much bass without buzzing.

My 49CZ802 Zeniths have no lack of bass for a single wide band driver and if your're getting a buzzing sound I'd say yours are defective.

All the 49CZ8xx series look identical and the numbers after the 49CZ8 are probably production runs.

Zenith prices are sky rocketing, i read in one of your posts  about Cleveland speakers 12" alnico version, which model are these and how do they compare to zenith's?
