What would be the impact of extending the depth of the H frame from 6 1/2" to 7 5/8" for an overall depth of 16"?   Is the difference enough to make a noticeable impact?

ed,  I think it  may paly a little  louder  but  not quite as high frequency wise... I'm not  sure how much of a difference  2.25"  (1.125 on each  side of the woofer) will make

You'd get a little more front to back separation that will equal slightly more room impact, but limit how high you can let them play by just a little too.
