Heres the next concert calendar update.

Generations
- March 15th, Wishbone Ash - $21.50
- March 23rd, Eric Johnson (solo acoustic) - $26.50
- April 13th, Brian Auger and the Oblivion Express - $12.50 - I hand no idea these guys were still touring. For $12 this could be really good concert.
- April 25,26, Ambrosia - $24.50 - Hey, lets resurrect every dead band from the 70's -

Fox
- May 11th, David Bowie
- May 14, Ron White "Drunk in Public Tour"
This is the guy from Jeff Foxworthy’s Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He is a scream.

Pageant
- April 22nd, Nickel Creek (bluegrass) - $20
- April 23rd, Yonder Mountain String Band - $17.50

Bottleneck Blues Bar
- Arpil 22nd, Foghat - $15-$25
- July 8th, Poco
(NOTE: These guys are also coming back this October to a venue that you all have to come and check out with my wife and I. I can't divulge the name or website because seating is extremely limited. This place has a Living Room concert series during the fall. They draw some pretty respectable named acts. You have dinner, the concert (literally) in a living room (complete with fireplace) then you get to hang out with the band after the show. Onsite lodging is availible.)
- July 23rd, Nazareth

Mississippi Nights
- March 16th, Ziggy Marley
- March 28th, Psychedelic Furs

Road Trips
Dallas Tx, June 4,5,6 Eric Claptons Crossroads Guitar Festival - Tickets go onsale today (Sat 3-13). I'm getting mine. Anybody else up for a road trip :?:

And, last but not least, Chuck Berry does his monthly performance in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. We need to all go see him before he is gone. Grab a burger and catch concert all in the same venue.

Heres some links to a few major local concert venues.

I keep forgetting.....

Thom plays Saturday nights near in Lamp and Lantern Village. Basically near Clayton and 141. Thom whats the name of the place (and time)?

Wille plays Wednesdays (I think) at the bar below Zhavago's. Thats at Clayton and Baxter? Willie, did I get that right?

Thoms band is basically a Jam Band and Willies does lighter jazz. We need to go out and catch these guys in action.

Has anyone seen Chuck Berry in recent times?
We are holidaying in USA and will be in St Louis around the time of his concert. Is he still worth it?

Hi Malcom,

I hate to say it, but I haven't been to see him yet. Kind of ashamed to say that especially since he's a legend, lives here and performs at Blueberry Hill on a regular basis.

I've heard from other people that the show he puts on is still very good. Tell you what, when you hit town, give be a buzz and I'll go down there with you (my lovely wife will probably want to go too). Who knows, maybe we can get a few of the other guys interested too.

He plays in an area of town we call The Loop. It's a great place to hang out. Tons of pubs with live music, quaint little shops and last but not least Vintage Vinyl (a local vinyl shop). The Loop a great place to just hang out, drink some brews and people watch.

Please post an announcement if anyone knows when Chuck Berry is playing next.  I rarely ever get to U City.  I grew up learning Chuck Berry's tunes and style on guitar.  Seeing him would be like meeting Elvis for me.  I teach about his music, inovations, and influence in my listenning courses.

Hi Mike,

Chuck plays the second Wednesday of each month in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill (just follow the link above).

Sounds as if Malcom is going to be in town sometime soon. Maybe we can all get together and go see Chuck as a group?

Hey GAS HOUSE GANG,
Since we have a new member ( ADRIAN ) who plays for the symphony. Maybe we can get together as a group and go hear him play. What better excuse to find out how well your system images. :) Also If you haven't had you fill of music. You can walk around the corner to Jazz at the Bistro
and hear some top flight sounds. I think if you present your ticket stub from the symphony you get $10 off the door charge. Hopefully we can do this in the next few months.

great idea sturgus.. did anybody go to the eric johnson show?  While eric johnson was great, the opening act really took me by surprise.  he's a local jazz guitarist-Dave Black.  I picked up his cd at the show and it's great.
