Any feedback on what cable to use for making up some power cords. Looking at Furutech, Neotech, And Vh Cable and DH Labs.
Thanks. Joe

A DIY version of this Ram cable:

Make sure all the DIY cable and connector parts & pieces are UL approved.
Same goes for store bought completed cables.

I've made some of these Belden 19364 based cords to good effect.  Good and inexpensive alternative.

What are you going to power Joe ? How much current do you expect to conduct ? How long of a run ?

Wavelength Cardinal SET amps, Doge 8 pre amp, modified Garrard 401 TT, modified Lenco 75 TT, Hashimoto  SUT, modified Oppo 105d dac dvd, Zu Definition speakers. All interconnects are Duelund. Runs are 1 meter for power cord. Using Zu Event power cables now.
Thanks,
Joe

Ordered bulk Black Mamba V2 cable and Furutech F1-11g connectors. Now have to wait and then assemble them Also ordered some Neotech cable and connectors to make power cables for Son and friends that won't cost as much.
Let you know how things go after breaking them in.

Or PM our AC member Jeff.

ALso some speaker cables can be used as power cord if - + are stranded apart as the VDH CS122 to source componets and small amps:

This isn't straight DIY but it is very near DIY prices:

I’ve run the copper/silver cable before and liked what I heard and it was at a price I can stomach. I plan on using the silver/silver for my Stealth 8 active speakers. They do offer bulk cable if DIY is a must.

The DIY 10 gauge looks identical to this...

I have used the Carol cable before with success.

Any updates on the Oyaide BM V2's? I have been curious how the new Oyaide compares to the old PCOCC-A wire they used. I considered responding to your thread suggesting the old Tunami power cords with Furutech F1-11g's but that cable is obsolete (still available at VH Audio however). I also use DH Labs Power Plus with the Furutech's and find them pleasing although not as exciting as the PCOCC Tunami's.

Side bar - I hope you purchased your cable from a legitimate Oyaide dealer. These types of cables are counterfeited like a Rolex from a dude in a trench coat.  :?
