Hey guys,
I am seriously considering the IDA-8 to power my Silver 6s. I used to have the NAD D3020 but got rid of it for something with more power. What are your thoughts about this combo/pairing? Thanks!

Sunny,
Can you post the specs for your speakers?
Room size?
Typical music volume?
Typical choice of music?

I use an IDA-8 for my desktop system. The speakers (Selah Audio SA2s) are not as efficient as yours but the room is smaller and it is near field listening. Unless you play things really loud you should be fine

I sit 9-10 from the speakers. Just wanted to add that detail.

Sunny,
I've got an IDA-8 as well. I've used it to power a pretty wide selection of speakers since I bought it about two years ago. What I learned is that it sounds pretty good powering speakers that are 87dB or higher sensitivity, but it strains with lower sensitivity speakers.
I've really enjoyed owning this amp because I can take it traveling with me. I can use it like Phil for desktop. It's great for a small bedroom.
It's possible you'll find your largish room will swallow some of its power, but with 90dB speakers maybe not. YMMV.
