DEALERS IN YOUR AREA
« on: 20 Aug 2014, 06:51 pm »
We would like any feedback about your local dealers. Are new stores opening or are they closing? No need to name them - we're only doing a survey to find trends. If are not comfortable posting, please PM us.

I have local store called Audio Solutions in Indy.  They just moved into their new bldg that they constructed so I'd say they're doing rather well..

No significant changes in the last 5 years over here.

A few years ago the biggest high-end salon around here moved out of their nice digs and downsized significantly. Might have been as much due to real estate prices in the area, probably couldn't afford rent increases, or maybe got a nice offer on their property, don't know. Other than that, not much change.

In Seattle area the biggest are Magnolia( Sonus faber) and Definitive Audio ( Wilson, magnepan and Macintosh speakers - http://www.definitive.com

There are also a few smaller ones which are not doing great and typically carry something like Focal or Gallo for less than 4k.

There is one mystery shop - Madrona Digital - sponsored by a Microsoft executive who believes there is not enough high-end boutique offerings in the area. They may be the easiest to get -http://www.madronadigital.com
