System Overview
Reproducing the dynamics and tonal character of real musical instruments in realistic manner is what pro HiFi is all about. Timber neutrality is of utmost importance to us as we use our system to evaluate our own classical music recordings against the sound of a real Steinway concert grand. This is why we chose Bryston amplifiers, pre-amplifier coupled with JBL pro drivers. The 4 way active system has a sensitivity of 98dB/w/m and has about 1,500 watts per channel available to face any transitory demand. The two active electronic filtering units by Rane allow for precise frequency cut off Linkwitz 24dB per octave, custom level and phase adjustments. Crossover frequencies are 90, 725, 6600Hz. LP and CD Sources are Linn. Digital source is Bryston BDP-1 & BDA-1 DAC for our own recording master files.
Music Preferences
Our musical tastes are quite diverse from classical (Bach to Schnittke) to jazz (Ella, Chet Baker, Josh Redman, Terrasson) to contemporary (Bjork, Michael Jackson etc…) and classic French songwriters.
