How too setup active cross over
« on: 3 Dec 2013, 11:36 am »
I have aqua damped stereo setup.it contains the following.

The cross over is 4  channel stereo.
One stereo for the woofer towers
One stereo amp for mid towers
One stereo for the tweeter towers
One stereo amp for subs.
I know where the crossover points should be and cutoff is adjustable .
Sub set at 80 he
Woofers at 300
Mid tower at 300
Tweeters at 6000
Now here is where I am not sure what to do first.
Do I run a test to see how the room is reacting or test the speakers for proper bal first.

And does anyone here have software and hardware to Recomend in audio analyzing.
Microphone / software/ hardware
I am willing TP spend a few bucks to do it right, but I do need a method to follow.
Also can someone Recomend a book or website in doing this properly please.

Thanks

I would test the speakers in the room from the listening position.  Don't worry about room resonances yet.

First, you need to optimize speaker placement and apply sidewall reflection treatments.
