High Quality Radio URL Links
« on: 26 Feb 2017, 02:44 pm »
Hi Folks,

Thought it would be a good idea to post some high quality (320) web radio links to use on your BDP.  I find the typical 128 does not do the system justice.

Just go to BRADIO on the Dashboard of Manic Moose and copy the link into where it says "PLAY".

The it will show up in the left play column when you go to MEDIA PLAYER.  Click on it and the radio station will start to play.

Then hit SAVE and you can save it to a designated play list you name.

These 2 are ones I really enjoy - 'Radio Paradise' and 'Monster Radio' and the quality through the BDP is superb :thumb:

I always like the quality of the three Linn Radio Stations.  Ran into this site where if one clicks the station name you get the URL (I haven't tried any of the stations yet)

I've been listening to Radio Paradise non-stop for the past few hours and it's quite good on BDP-1 in both SQ and music selection.  :thumb:

I cleared my playlist and tried your second link James and all I said out loud with no one around was "you can do this". I'm going to try the fan sports network mind blown.

Hi Folks,

This is only 128 but it really sounds good on the BDP if you like Oldies.

Go to Bryston Radio on the Dashboard - then POP then OLDIES - its usually 3-4 down on the list.

ANTENNE BAYERN Oldies but Goldies

Under the radio application the genre "pop" no sub genres there is a station called bluepoint streaming @320.  Its a top 40 hit station so far it's a good mix.  Flipping back and forth from 128 vs 320 the 320 is softer sounding not as compressed and even handed.

Folks,
I have the BDP-2 and when I go to bradio I do not find Radio Paradise under rock and when in rock my sub-genre does not show all rock.  Instead I get a list of genre's.  Also when I copy the streaming url from radio paradise into the play section and push play the url gets added to my playlist but will not engage.  Advice and direction to radio paradise would be appreciated.

Hi

Try pasting this in BRadio

http://stream-tx3.radioparadise.com/mp3-192

Then save it as a playlist.

James, thank you for the assistance, worked perfectly.  Can you tell me why my user interface is different from what was posted in this set of responses? I am still learning about the functionality of MM.

James, sorry for the lack of detail.  What I saw in another thread, I think the BDP 1-2 thread, was a picture posted showing in genre "all rock", and that does not show on my MM interface.  I was wondering if that is somehow selected in the set-up in MM?  I have yet  to figure out the full features of MM and part of me is putting learning off because of the pending release of the new program.

Again, thank you for all your help.

Chris and James,
I was wrong on the thread, it was the Manic Moose thread 2015 that I saw the "all rock stations".  James posted a response with a screen shot to illustrate the steps.  Unfortunately I am not savvy enough to grad the screen shot, but provide the text, below, that was posted.  I hope this helps what lead me to this line of inquiry, as I have the solution to my question and I am happily listening to RP as we correspond.  Again, thank you both for your guidance.  Alan

"Go to ROCK then ALL ROCK STATIONS  - then scroll down - then click on + sign and let it turn Blue.  It will then be in your list of stations when you click on BRADIO going forward."
