Hi Jim!

Have you decided on what you will be demoing at Axpona this year?

No decisions have been made to date, but I would imagine we will have the Exotica 3's, the SoundScape 8's and some version of the Song3's.

Two for sure...maybe three (but I will only supply speakers for the third if it happens...I will not be present in that room).

Jim,

Just curious - which version of the Song3's are you taking to Axpona?  Thanks.

We currently have three versions of the Song3's...the standard version, a version with the Accuton midrange and a version with an AudioTechnology midrange and a beryllium tweeter (as you know since this is the one you have).

Since we have never shown the Accuton version and don't even show it on our web site yet, this is the model we will be "introducing" at AXPONA.  We have many pairs of these in production now, but haven't announced it publicly since the audio press seems to only talk about new products where small manufacturers are concerned.  So this "new" model is what we will be showing.

We are also working on another potential model and, if all goes well, we may be introducing that one as well.  Stay tuned...

Has anyone listened to the standard Song3 and the Accuton mid version? How would you characterize any differences you heard? Thanks.

Jim, what was the name of the ~$3k speaker that you introduced last year at AXPONA? Loved that speaker.

That was the Song3.  We will be showing an advanced version of that speaker this year in room 408 with Schiit Audio.

Currently a happy Songtower owner, but after hearing about Song3's I just might need to upgrade to Songs...

Great. FWIW, it was Jim's recommendations based on my/wife's listening preferences that moved us to the Song3. Then I was hit by an Accuton bug and made the upgrade.
