Looking to purchase a phono pre amp. Seen several references in reviews of modifications to the EAR 834-P phono amp that greatly improve it's sound. I would like some specifics as I am a novice to mods. I would like to give this a shot.

There is a very complete posting on modifiying the 834P by Thorsten Loesch up somewhere on one of the forums but I have no note as to which one.

Has anyone ever compared the EAR 834P with Hagerman's Cornet.
