Appreciate the commentary and especially the pics, but without knowing the brands/models of gear your efforts are largely wasted on most of us.

(Can you imagine Consumer's Report not indicating the particular products they're reviewing?  What would be the point of that?)

This is like reading about double blind tests where you know only some of what's being compared (before and after).

Early B.

You certainly can't expect these guys to write down every brand and model of every component in every room they review. A 5-second google search will tell you which model you're interested in based on the pics.

Sorry to look a gift horse in the mouth, but how much extra text is needed to give at least a brand?

How do you search by pic??

Easy solotion.    Take a photo of the signs / placards etc that all rooms certainly have,  and include it with the photo array.

All I really want to know is how the speakers sound and what model is being described.  The sonic signature of everything else is unknowable at a show. I trust the speaker manufacturer to pick supporting gear that will accent his design's best attributes... and if he doesn't it shows up in the sound. Kinda like room treatments.  Some don't bother, but that's their choice and responsibility.
You guys keep up the good work. Hope Tyson is fully recovered.

Placard photos are going to happen guys. It's not unreasonable.

Funny how people complain about a free service these dudes are trying to accomplish, with one still attempting while extremely ill.

Thanks for everything guys, but health first and foremost as this is just an audio show.   Plenty of information out on the web for any of theses companies showing.

Very sorry to hear Tyson is under the weather.  Best wishes, and hoping for speedy recovery.

No time to read their review of our display in Room 1100, but huge thanks for visiting.  AudioKinesis Zephrin 46 on display.

Wanted to apologize for a setup faux pas: from show opening yesterday till about 4pm, distance between L/R speaker centers was 94.5", ceiling height 95". :duh:  This of course caused bass mode issues, which disappeared after shortening the speaker distance to 88".

So whatever one thought yesterday about performance (till about 4pm), it's hugely improved.  As Duke said, Zephrin 46 is the best sounding speaker in the room!

It probably depends on your browser, but with "Chrome" I can right click an image and one option is to "Search Google for this image".
That will give you pages of information.

Hope that helps.

I will not be doing show coverage solo. Tyson does all the scheduling, getting our music queued up and dealing with he seating situation. All the while I'm taking photos. It is virtually impossible for me to do all that myself. Not to mention it's just not the show without Tyson. I'll still be there but I'm certainly not going to do show coverage. I might post the occasional pic, but my suggestion to all our fans out there take a load off and enjoy your weekend! We will have to play it by ear for Sunday.

That's cool Pez. Put down the tools and grab a beverage of choice and just take it easy.
...and thank you again for the years of audio porn you've provided to those of us that can't make it.

As an industry professional (now retired) I attended more shows (CES, CEDIA, etc) than I can count. I have a robust constitution but I can honestly say the sickest I've ever gotten was at a couple of these shows. Laid low in my hotel room for the duration feeling much lousier than I would have expected. I think it is a combination of adrenaline, lack of rest, and travel exhaustion followed immediately by exposure to lots of strange new germs your body can't cope with. Take care Tyson and drink lots of fruit juices. We appreciate your sacrifices.
