Title: streaming through a web browser ifi dac2
Post by: guf on 19 Jul 2017, 12:26 am
Why can't I get it to work? Roon, and Hqplayer work to my speakers but can't seem to get it to work with safari or chrome. Any suggestions?

Is it that you have selected the USB DAC as the audio source in both HQPlayer and Roon software, but the web browsers must use the computer's default audio setting, which has not been set to the USB DAC?

srb is correct, just your windows setting. Just click on your little speaker in the lower right corner of windows, It should say    **   Speakers Reltek High Def Audio( or something like that.) Click the arrow beside that and you should be able to select ifi HD USB Audio Driver.

Thanks you guys. I had checked those things. Made sure that Roon and hqplayer were not taking exclusive control of it. What ended up being the fix was unplugging the usb and plugging it back in.  :duh:
