Yeah the original was kind of just blah so I resized it a tad and applied LR to it  :thumb:

Great shots guys, beside that's one hell of a sensor on the a99II.

Yes Pete... it is one hell of a sensor. 42.4MP with 84MB uncompressed RAW files is a lot to work with.

Some shots from Seattle over the weekend...

Chip, some great strong images. Fun to look at!

As for myself, I'm enjoying learning and getting some practice with the new Sony A99ll by doing a little "birding." This camera is capable of producing great images, and its focusing is lightening fast with burst rates of up to 12fps! This sure helps in capturing, small moving targets such as these very common wild birds.

Very little cropping was used here and only for positioning the location of the bird in the frame. I shot with a 150-600mm telephoto lens, and most shots were taken at about 500mm. By the way, my bird "studio" is from a north facing room that overlooks a Sweetgum Tree.
Hmmm, seems like they're all facing the same direction.

They're both great!
B&W is always classy, but the sunset shadows on the first tell a different tale.
Good stuff!

Some pics out at Pacific City yesterday -

...

Hey!

Chip, these two are great. Nature can be so beautiful if you just let it be.

A few "test shots" from the new Sony A99ll Camera. It arrived last week! There's a learning curve for sure, but this camera shows a lot of promise.  8)

Smoke Stack Pano

bside123, I like that pic of the smoke stack. And congratulation on your new A99II, look like a great photography machine. Although I am using Sony A7II mirrorless now, (my main camera before this was 12MP Sony A700 DSLR) I still have all my screw-driven and two SSM A-mount lenses of which I still use with on my A7II via an adapter.

I might switch back to A-mount DSLR again or use both. But I have to say the A99II is a bit too expensive for me right now and with 42MP that is one big file.

Take care,
Buddy

Our Spring planting is vigorously underway. We're about ⅓ complete. Last year we had 17,000 lbs of produce in addition to eggs, poultry, venison, herbs and honey!
This year we'll start farming the fish from our stocked ponds: Large Mouth Bass, Bluegill and Sunfish. :thumb:

The black helicopters are surrounding your house now. Might as well surrender peacefully. :o
