Wanting to learn about audio and grow my listening system

Hi,

I am starting to explore improving my listening experience and looking to upgrade my system over time. I have a pretty basic setup of a Marantz PM-68, Canton Bookshelf speakers, for listening sources I use Spotify, CD's (via an Oppo 103) and basic turntable.

So, I'm joining this board to start learning more and ask questions as I begin to upgrade my system.

btw the I have a couple of systems where I use Oppo 103Ds and have a few other Oppo players do, although for music I basically do file playback.

The best bang for the buck upgrade I have experienced is changing the wall socket. Checkout Pangea, Mapleshade, PS Audio, MIT, etc. It is less than $100.

Wow!!! Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome and the great tips.

Phil A - nice to hear there are fellow Oppo owners here.

And witchdoctor apprecieate the guidance about power. Its an area that I need to learn more about so I'll check out those brands.

I also have the OPPO 103D player.  A great player for sure. :thumb:
