I like the Clearstream antennas. I have a small indoor loop that was impressive with it's ability to retrieve stations when placed near a window. Once I saw the picture quality, I got an outdoor unit (four loop model) with a rotor and mounted on the rear of the roof (a chimney mount). It sits about 25' above the ground. It can pick up many distant channels and is barely noticeable from the front yard. I use a small Channel Master amplifier/4-way splitter to provide brain rot signals to four tvs. I found the amp/splitter in one small box to be a simple and clean solution, and it works very well.
I haven't tried a tv antenna in the attic, but my big FM antenna seems to work pretty well in there.
BTW, I've found that the newer tvs can retrieve a few more channels than the older models. Not a big deal, but it's good to see the new offerings are less expensive and still manage to perform better in that respect.
