Did you adjust the DC offset on the SA 8500? I take it you know about the error in the manual: says to adjust variable resistors VR1 & VR2 for the idle current, and to adjust VR3 & VR4 for the voltage? Apparently that info is backwards.

Nice. Found both owners and service  :D. Reading sections 5 AND 9. This sure will make things easier to take apart  :thumb:.

Connect each shield and Safety Ground to the chassis near where the cord enters the chassis. Then use an internal wire to tie the Safety Grounds together.

Actually each Safety Ground wire needs to be bonded to the chassis. bonded = a secure, permanent connection.

4 Felix, 19 amps, in an old Adcom 535 chassis.

Saving for the additional parts.
