Preamble
Another movie I never saw when I was younger, one that many people I like/respect rave about.  Criterion stepped up and did a great remaster, so time to check it out on the big screen!


Haiku

This is Kevin.  A normal kid with idiot parents.  One day this happens in his room:




Somehow he ends up on a crazy time-adventure with this motley crew:




A killer Napoleon encounter:




Sean Connery!  Playing Agamemnon!  Who becomes more of a father than Kevin's real dad:




The main bad guy?  Why, the Devil himself!




And of course it wouldn't be a Gilliam film without a bit of weirdness.




Summary
OK, what a crazy 'kids movie' this was.  I'd seen Brazil and this is definitely in the same mould.  Man, why did I wait so long to see this movie - it was terrific fun!

A classic, as was 'Brazil'.
