I really hope Kodak succeeds with this. They were a great company. Made some iconic film, Tri-X and Kodachrome. Was not of fan of Ecktachrome however, their E6 transparency film. Too contrasty for my taste and inconsistent color consistency from batch to batch.
They actually invented the digital sensor (I think) & brought some of the first digital SLR's to market (the DCS) but they were crap and way expensive. It seems the execs (yeah suits) didn't think digital would take off and didn't want to have a product to compete with their own film.
But like VW with it's great engineers, but idiot execs; we know how the story goes.
