2-piece cabinets, DSP and powered options, subwoofer /sats and 3-way combinations. What do you think?

Dsp active is where it's at. I can call arrays and 18s sub sat right   :thumb:

Rick, In say a three way with bass to mid crossover around 300 to 500 Hz would there be problems related to DSP processing time if a digital x over / room correction is used on the bass but the mid high pass and mid/tweeter crossover is passive ?
Thanks Mike A

No problem there as I would be using DSP for the bass-mid crossover point  and passive for the mid-tweeter transition.

Rick, I understand that is what a sensible person would do but imagine that you have a neurotic audiophile customer that doesnt want the mid and high signal passing through "inferior" AD and DA processors in products like miniDSp or even DEQX.
Would it be a problem just to use the digital processing on the woofer ?
Thanks MikeA

You brought up a really good point. I know some will argue with me but I believe that the advantages of DSP far outweigh any *assumed* differences in the DAC sections. DSP only on the woofer section does help with room peaks which are problematic in almost every system. The other benefits are adding bass extension and better control of the upper end response and transition to the midrange.

The additional filtering on the mid has the benefit of improved integration, lower distortion, and smoother response. I priced out these systems and they would range from $5,000 - $7,000 / pair with shipping. Just add a front end (or mobile device with Chromecast Audio) and you're all set to go!  :thumb:

I would have argued too. Went from using 2500 dollar integrated to dsp plate amp. Rick was is right it works.
