Maybe we need a hello-goodbye circle with just two threads in it. People can post in the goodbye thread when they leave and in the hello thread when they come back again.

(That was a joke <- for people who don't get my sense of humour.)

That way you could leave and come back two or three times a day as the whim strikes you.

I've been retired since 2010 so what's the big deal, its not like your going into space or losing your ability to read and write and enjoy sounds when you retire :)  unless you have been tasked with so many honey do's that it will be impossible to enjoy audio and brag about those triumphs on AC.

JohnR,

If a member quits delete the account and ban the IP address.  That will solve any fickleness issues AC (ex)members might have.  :)

I think the problems arise on this forum because of the segregated configuration.  Members who switch between the Industry Circles and the generic Circles need to adopt a different mindset when doing so.  The Industry Circles are echo chambers where everybody tells everybody what they want to hear, but the generic Circles are more objective (or should be) and thin-skinned audiophiles are easily exposed.

Two cents.

Dave.

Really?  We need a policy or some procedure to deal with this?

How about people just stop coming here if they want to, and resist the childish need to announce it (and then renounce it - or not)?

Perhaps I am less patient than I should be - but you'll know if I ever stop hanging around here - not because i will post about it - BECAUSE I WILL ACTUALLY STOP!
