Hi,

All my music collection (FLAC) has cover art embedded on the tracks ID3 tags. My collection is organized in folders (Artist -> Album). However, not all Album folders have a cover.jpg (or whatever other name) file in it. So I need a program that would batch extract the cover art from one of the album tracks and create a cover jpeg file from it. This, so I can display all covers on MPAD, for example.

Anyone knows a program or app that does that for Windows?

Dbpoweramp has a great utility, but my favorite is Musicbrainz Picard.

Thanks gdayton and JRace. But dbPoweramp (PerfectTunes Album Art) will not create a cover.jpg file from the music tags. MusicBrainz Picard can do it? Bottom line, my music ID3 tags are perfectly OK, so I do not need a tag editor or to embed cover art on the tracks metadata. What I need is to create the cover.jpg (or folder.jpg) files from the already existing embedded cover art on the tracks metadata.

In tag and rename you can create Folder.jpg from the tags very easily.

foobar have facility to save embedded cover art in the tagging menu (right click on song, tagging, manage attached pictures)

I checked with Illustrate and actually it is dbPoweramp instead of PerfectTunes that does create the folder.jpg files out of the embedded ID3 tags. You need to use the ID Tag Update codec, and use the option for exporting embedded cover art to filename.
