Laundrew, what are those between the concrete blocks??

Hello larevoj :D

They are a pair of old tube Hewlett Packard Audio Oscillators. I decorate my room with old electrical/electronic equipment - I have a weakness for, and enjoy their awesome aesthetics.

Be well...

He ain't telling the full truth. The chassis are actually housing BDP-1 prototypes. Laundrew is well connected.

Here is a photo of an awesome early 1900s 1200 Amp, brass ammeter. The BR2 is for a scale reference of the meter'r size.

That is a classic  :notworthy: is it still working?? I think DC amp meter these days is many times smaller. What was it for??

Hello larevoj,

The meter needle still "floats" but as I only received this last week - I have not done a continuity check on the coil as of yet. If the coil does work, I can calculate a new shunt that will let the meter move on a small amount of current. It will be used in a future Steampunk project - I just could not let this one get away. Not sure what it was originally used for - what ever it was, it was definitely power hungry.

Originally, I wanted to use it in my Steampunk stereo stand and when I finally received it, I realized that it was going to be too big with all the equipment I wanted to install (perhaps a “re-org is in order). There is such a very fine-line between having an item look awesome and too busy.

                                    Less is more!

For now, I am going to enjoy this meter sitting on my desk :D

Be well…

This is definitely one for the books.

I was wondering about what equipment I could use for 5.1 pre outs. I had a look at the back of my Marantz SR-19 and it has this capability of 5.1 pre-outs.
