The 5611 does allow more decoupling, and a lot more power.
I've found the trick to these (my intuition towards them) is all the power supply. The output inductors, input caps, and PVCC (power) caps are all very important. But the differences can be dwarfed by the power coming in, and the ability of the PSU to decouple the amplifier as well. But for my personal taste all of the above must be in line.
I may have another much more interesting suggestion for you later Dwight.
The GP 3116 is nice except I'd like to see what Dwight has done with caps, or rather I'd like to have multiples as opposed to two large ones. There's a couple other things that could be very interesting, but frankly I'm going to just have to make my own boards :/
