They sprayed 8 inches of open cell foam.Every crack / electrical box / hole was filled.They left before i got home from work.I have to buy these guys lunch.OUTSTANDING attention to detail.this is now like a thermos jug.Should be quite i there!

Taping the joints with a bazooka .It applies compound and tape at the same time.!

A couple of questions: What is the cost of your build? If that is private , I understand.
What going into the theater ? projector , screen , speakers , etc.?

the contractor was 28,500.i had to paint(sherman williams 1025.),do electric(1600)lots of dedicated circuits.;a/c(2322).the foam of insulation was 800 more for the roof, and 539 for the walls.i had a slab that needed to be increased 2 feet length wise, and a footer dug down on one side.that was in the contractors price.That included 2 layers of high r sheathing to offset the joints.
the wires were expensive , even though Bart hooked me up for some cables.
will keep you updated.Currently redoing some gik room treatments.adding membranes to the bass traps, coping Bart and trimming them out to look nice,setting up audio.

Starting to move in.Allen from SLR is setting up the room for me.A giant in the recording industry , he has spent 3 days setting up the room, fixing room treatments, and teaching me about music. I am grateful Ryan Scott introduced me.
The room came alive as the treatments began to get put in the place.The transformation from a reverb chamber to a sound room were amazing.The sound is at a level , i never dreamed possible.
Will continue to post, fine tune the speaker/room interaction, install the ht.

Phil - this is Allen Rumbaugh.
He has built more recording studio's then you can imagine.Has recorded a ton of stars and has forgotten more then most experts claim to know.
I watched the room get transformed as he installed traps, diffusors, in a logical methodology that he has developed over years of designing studio's.
I tried one of his diffusor's , based on Ryan's Scott's recommendation ,2 years ago.It was a game changer.
He pioneered it through the school of hard work.He and his partner have implemented many unique concepts to fix all kinds of audio issues.Give me another month and then come over for lunch .Allen has two more finishing touches he is building and sending down.
My summary of 3 days of his expertise-"the room is a sweet spot "
