Here you go Bob old boy: We had a good turnout with Scott, Marktwain, Kent, Bob, Dave and Liam, Sturgus, Vance and little old me making the trip.  We never hooked up with Jim Pendleton so I hope he's OK.  And now for the pictures....

Scott says "Hey BISL, this stubs for you"

Euclid Records was pretty well stocked today and everyone boosted the economy.

Lunch was at cj muggs at the end of the block. Great to see Sturgus; it's been way too long.

Then we hit Planet Score and Scott scored;

They had some KISS items for Mike D

And a little something we should have bought for BISL.  Love you man!!!!!

Back to Scott's to have our ears massaged. We used all 450 watts and saw the clip lights a couple of times.

Finally, Vance experiencing the sound chair.

Thanks to all the guys for hitting the shops and spending your children's inheritance. Great day!!!!

Ohhh yea.....  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

HUGE thanks for the pics Mark, very much. Fantastic!
Sorry to hear Jim was a no-show.  :(
Would have loved to see Sturg, Kent, Dave and Twain again. It's been a long time.
I've never wanted to see another mans finger more than I want to see Scotts, so that'll have to wait to another day.
Glad you guys had fun though. I spent the day on my 'perch' at work.  :|

Bob

Oh.....as far as the Oscar Meyer dogs are concerned....you can feed those to your dog, cause I ain't eatin' 'em.
Although I'm curious what the music would be?

Sorry I couldn't make it either, but we had a couple last minute visitors.

We need more get-togethers!

Shot of Dave and Mark at lunch. I hope marktwain can make it down again soon.

What we needed was a longer listening session after our purchases. My picture disc of local band The F*ck Off and Dies sounded pretty good at Scott-approved levels but I'm with Vance: they need a cussing coach because they only seem to know one word.

Thanks again guys. I had a great time talking audio, music, flyrods, nonsense, etc.  Liam gets to buy lunch next time.  :thumb:

Geez Mark,

How many copies of Maggot Brain does one guy need?  :o

Gotta say, I had a blast. It was great catching up with everyone again  :thumb:

After adding to our music collections, a few of us ended up back at my place to play with the new system. I've finally got it pretty well dialed in. It doesn't resemble the old single ended system in the least. It's more like the old 'Big Fun System' from days of yore. When you ask the new system to do audiophile things, it responds pretty well. Not the resolution of SET system but not bad at all. When you want this system to rock, that's where she steps up to the plate and knocks it right out of the park. It's like wholly sh*t good, as a rockers system. It literally plays everything well including bass shy rock, which was my goal in building it.

Vance, I think I lost you when I put on Snoop and Dre. Your head stopped bobbing. Luckily, Prince and Morris Day brought it back :thumb:

Marktwain, wish you could have been here for the 'real' demonstration. By the time you showed up, we all needed to give our ears a rest and turn the volume down.

I want to toss out an open invitation. If anybody wants to come out on a weekend and spin some tunes, just drop me a note. I might actually try and do a mini-gathering late spring. I don't have all the rooms set up anymore but we can hang out on the back patio, BBQ, drink beers and cycle in and out of the listening room (which is now mostly an office).

Nope

...ummm, if you think Maggot Brain is bad, I'm not quite sure what you'd think about my in-yer-FACE playlist. It's sorta just this side of death metal.

Yip, I'm down for that. Definitely.

Bob, you should have Scott come over for a cup of joe at Christmas time if your outlaws show up again. He has that finger bird down cold!

So, Scott, will it be Mendelssohn's wedding march on the TT soon?  I'm not sure the GAS guys knew what was behind your invitation to come on over for a "session."   :o

Looking forward to the spring GTG, Scott.

At the last one I attended at your house awhile back, I naively said to daves as we walked in, "Is there a sax player blowing in the other room?"

Felt like a total noob when I realized what I'd done!
