Just curios why my Roberta Flack download from HDtracks displays as 193khz on my Teac UD-501. I'm sure someone here can enlighten me. :D

Just that particular album/song and other 24/192KHz files display correctly as 192KHz on the Teac?

Good question. Hotel California also displays as 193khz.

I would think that it could only sync to exact integer multiples or divisions of the 44.1KHz or 48KHz clocks for PCM playback.

The display driver is incorrectly programmed?  Other than that, no clue.

Enjoy your 0.52% increased resolution!  ;)

Hopefully we'll hear from other UD-501 users with 24/192 files.

Seems these files had a ''properties'' field that inform 193kHz, as this sample rate dont exist.

False alarm.

I was looking at the display today and had to conclude that it is perfectly OK. My prescription, on the other hand, may need an adjustment. From my seating position the display is blurred just enough to make the 2 look like a 3.  :duh:
