Colleagues

A friend has decided he wants to try his hand at building a pair of speakers and, since he knows I hang out in audio forums,  asked me for pointers to people or resources that might be helpful to him. He is in Austin, and tells me he has the skills (he believes) and the necessary tools to do this right but would like to be able to read or discuss with other DIY-ers locally. If willing to let me connect you with him (he's sane and polite), send me a PM. If you know of any particularly useful web-resources, these might be posted here usefully for all.

I've been building speakers for 40+ years and can highly recommend the guys at Madisound.com!! 

Also Rick Craig of Selah Audio  http://www.selahaudio.com/ sells some of his speakers in kit form which is a great way to start.  I've had the pleasure of hearing some of his speakers and they are VERY GOOD.
