Hey, was hoping someone could tell me what that would be.
I can't run the sim in winISD atm till I get my current version of Linux working with Wine.
(I don't need any advice or thoughts on the subject of tuning, just the port size)

Not sure what port size you're working with. Or what minimum port diameter Danny recommends. I recall this kit works in a 0.5 cubic foot box.
For a 1 inch port the length would be 2.5 inches. That may prove to be too small in diameter.
For a 1.5 inch port, the length would be 7.5 inches.

That is a bit of a loaded question as it requires a box volume to answer.
To tune that woofer to 38.8Hz then you need 1.13 cubic feet of air space and a port that is 2" in diameter and 2.98" long. So basically a 3" long port.
However how you damp the box can alter all of that either way as well.
Oh yeah, and the -3db will be 44Hz with that tuning.

In this case it is one of Ruebens flatpacks. I guess I should have mentioned that.

If using the .5 cubic foot box tuning it that low it will knock 1db of output away at 100Hz and hit a -3db of 63Hz. And a 2" port would be 9.25" long. So that will also reduce the air space a bit too.

Thanks Danny.

You must have had those flat packs from Ruben for quite some time.

The speakers are already built. I use them often for experimentation.
